Hither & Yon Vegan Friendly Nero D'Avola 2017
Nero d’Avola is Sicilia’s most popular red wine variety, well suited to the warm maritime climate of McLaren Vale. It is later ripening and generally has higher tannins and fresh acidity, making wines with deep color and full body. This is Hither & Yon's fifth vintage of Nero d’Avola, which may be arguably one of the best yet.
This Vegan Friendly wine has a palate of fleshy and ripe forest berry fruit, supple grippy tannins, fresh and crunchy, with pepper spice and sage. It has nice refreshing length, floral and sweet fruited without straying into the jam zone. Red earth notes and Italian herbs add a little complexity, medium bodied, moreish and delicious, buckets of flavor.
Multiple award winner at the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show 2017:
- Trophy - Best Wine of Show
- Trophy - Best Red of Show
- Trophy - Best Nero D'Avola of show
